Big table

We met the day before at the vegetable market to buy organIc fresh products, and to be honest we were buying what we found nice and fresh. We followed our flow. We found an amazing cheese maker, we bought two different cheeses, one rather mild, another piece more mature. Some olives, marinated pePpers, creme fraiche with garlic and herbs.

One food stand was offering beautiful butternut squash we couldn’t take our eyes off it. Carrots, barley, greens, porcini mushroom and at the end of our journey late summer raspberries and red currant.

We made barley with roasted vegetables, parsley and dressing to create a saucy texture. I love whole grains, they always work better with moisture, when they’re served with sauce or oil and lemon, just to make sure it is not dry and unpleasant and boring to eat. We baked a quiche with porcini mushrooms on top to keep their beautiful shape visually on top.

We started our dinner with cheese platter and fresh salad with rocket and finished with cake and fresh fruits served with cream. This day was amazing, inspiring and calm. We cook, style, photograph, talk and and just enjoy what we love to do without pressure, brief or client feedback.

Just a beautiful reminder to do what you love to do.
